Has anyone else noticed that gaming books are the heaviest fucking things in the entire world?

Books in general are just heavy fuckers. Little paperbacks, titchy bitty spots of nothing, but put 'em in a box and you've got a cooked-fresh never-frozen hernia that makes its own gravy.

My moving experience points to gaming books being heavier. I don't know why, but it seems to be true.

I always get boxes at least half the size of what I think I can carry for books for that exact reason.

Wait'll you heft Hunter. I mean, it's not Ptolus, but it's damned dense.

Flying home from GenCon is going to be fun, then. I mean, it always is, but this time it'll be more fun.

Yes, yes they are. D&D books are pretty bad, in my experience, 'cause practically none of those suckers are paperback. At least a good portion of, say, OWoD was (at least of what I own. YMMV)

Ahem. You do not know the pain of the weight of gaming books until you have to ship them halfway across the world.
